OCP And You

There are many ways that you can bring the Opera Company of Philadelphia experience to your community group or organization. From entertaining lectures on a broad range of topics, or opera-related classes in your community, let the Opera Company of Philadelphia bring the magic of opera to your club, association, group, or facility. Opera Lectures:

Here is a list of lectures that are currently offered by the Opera Company. Each lecture lasts approximately one hour and includes an audio-visual presentation featuring operatic excerpts on DVD and or CD. If you have an idea for a lecture that is not currently listed, please contact our outreach department to suggest a topic for your organization.

Opera Classes:

The Opera Company provides free educational experiences throughout the year with our popular pre-production series A Taste of Opera held at the Park Hyatt Philadelphia, and Opera Overtures held one hour before every performance in the Academy of Music.

This season the Opera Company of Philadelphia pairs with the national service organization OPERA America to present a FREE course on Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel. This course is provided free of charge to all OCP patrons. For more information on this free course, visit the OPERA America page on our website.
